JAY-Z 4:44 Tour: November 23rd Toronto (2nd Show) 2017 Live Now

JAY-Z 4:44 Tour: November 23rd Toronto (2nd Show) 2017 Live Now. This is my mini vlog of Jay-Z's 4:44 Tour. In my opinion this is one of the best shows of the year to match one of the best albums the year. Despite negative press, this show came close to selling out and Hov had the A.C.C. ROCing. Vic Mensa was the opening act, he came on around 8:30 performed a lot of his hit like U Mad, OMG, Memories from 47th St. along with the soulful song We Could Be Free. Vic also shared how fortunate he feels to be in Canada considering he comes from the South Side of Chicago.

Vic ended his set around 9:10ish and Hov came on around 9:30. Projections on the screen should old pics of Jay from the early days all the way up to MCHG. As Allen Parson Project's chopped up "Don't Let Show" plays, the images of Jay burn to a crisp as Shawn Carter appears on stage to declare "Kill Jay Z". What follow next was hit after hit like Fuckwithmeyouknowigotit, On To The Next One, Jigga My Nigga, Run This Town, Beach is Better and others.

Then came the second Interlude which dealt with Ego. The screens showed Jay absent from jet skiing with Bey, a young Blue Ivy being tossed in the air with Father to been seen and a clip from when Jay took the subway to Barclays and meet an older lady who didn't recognize him. this all lead to how introducing BAM with FUCK ALL THAT PRETTY SHAWN CARTER SHIT NIGGA HOV! Shawn was on that gospel shit, I was on the total fucking opposite. After that Hov played classics like P.S.A and U Don't Know which made the place explode!! Hov then talk to a security guard n told him to let his guard down after refusing Jigga said fine this next is for you.

With the security guard's face all on the screens then next thing to come out those speakers was If you having girls problems I feel bad for you son, I GOT 99 PROBLEMS BUT A BITCH AINT ONE! Hov also played Niggas In Paris but stopped and said "Nah, we not doing that tonight". Eventually making the crown count down from ten and finished the song. Classic Hov move. Jigga also played Dirt Off Your Shoulders and Empire State Of Mind. The final interlude had to do with Legacy showing clips of Black Excellence and clips from Kill Jay Z music Video and ManyFacedGod videos. Hov lead the final quarter with Moonlight to slow down the tempo.

Jay continued being mellow mixed Allure The Black Album's rarely played song with Dead President II. It went Allure Verse 1 to Allure Hook to Dead Presidents II verse back to the Allure Hook.Jigga also did The Story Of O.J dedicating it to Muhammed Ali (if I heard right). Jay Z then told Young Guru to only play the keys for Smile. Hov closed out the show with the Encore/NUMB mix in honor of Linkin Park's band member who was a good friend of Jays and killed himself early this year. Shawn Carter spoke about the impacts of mental health and how important it is for us to listen and care for Family and Friends. He ask everybody to put their lights up which created a beautiful display.

Throughout the show Jay talked about his displeasure with Thanksgiving as a holiday considering it history, Talk about Race related issues saying when a young man is killed unjustly it should effect everybody in the room. "It's not a Black thing, It's not a White thing, Its HUMAN thing. Jay also mention about how their is not darkness only absence of light, a theme he has kept throughout the tour. Hov also played the Empire(State Of Mind) sample and ask a lady if she knew where "Hov was going with this".

Not to look bad the lady nodded yeah. Hov being the face reader he is called her bluff and said "OK, what is it then" she drew a blank. Hov got DJ Khaled on and said "Lady, Don't Play yourself". As, you may have seen Hov rapped "Jigga What" over Drake's "Know Yourself". Drake and Toronto Rap Legend Kardinal Offishall were both in the crowd and got shout outs. Overall an Amazing night. Well worth it. my seats were good (Section 122) and the people in our part enjoyed just as much as everybody else.
